Marina is just on the North end
of Monterey and one can pass through it to get to Salinas or Santa
Cruz. But if one stops they can find a lot to see and do in Marina.
Marina is the home to the California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB)
and Golden Gate University. Marina prides itself on having the
seventh most ethnically diverse population in the USA. The
University of California Monterey Bay Education, Science &
Technology is in the process of developing a small business
incubator facility at the airport business park. When built out, the
UC MBEST project will generate in excess of 25,000 square feet of
new office space and create 300 new jobs. The City of Marina
continues to grow and will be a much larger part of the community at
large in the future.
