Pacific Grove, AKA Butterfly Town
U.S.A., AKA the last American Hometown, is one of the most serene
spots on the Monterey Peninsula and a great place to go to feel like
you are back in time. Highlighted by the “Good Old Days
Celebration”, people can see locals dressed up in early 1900’s
attire and just walking through town, you get a general feeling of
what many towns use to look like across the U.S. 50 years ago. The
Monarch butterflies make their annual pilgrimage here in October and
remain through the winter.
Pacific Grove has also been rated the "Most Romantic City" according to
West by Life Magazine.
This unique town has something
for everyone with picturesque beaches, fine dining and many quaint
little stores, come see the last American Hometown.
