| Description: |
The mission of CAPC is to initiate, coordinate, and lead the community efforts to prevent, report, and respond to child abuse and neglect. The primary purpose of CAPC is to reduce the incidence of child abuse in Monterey County through education and public awareness and to improve the coordination of intervention and treatment resources through the cooperate efforts of our member agencies. Goals: Continue a community-wide education program. Increase public awareness concerning child abuse. Establish a community reference library on child abuse and parenting. Ensure a viable community network. Inform lawmakers about the needs of children. Establish a Child Advocacy Center. |
