Monterey County AIDS Project (MCAP) is a community-based non-profit organization founded in 1985, with the dual goals of : 1) Improving the quality of life for people living with HIV in Monterey County and their family and friends, and 2) Stopping the spread of HIV disease and AIDS related discrimination through advocacy and community education. MCAP is governed by a Board of Directors that includes representatives of communities affected by HIV and AIDS: people of color, substance users in recovery, gay and bisexual men and women. The staff of MCAP reflect a similar diversity. |
