The Monterey Dunes Natural History Association came together in October 1991 as an outgrowth of the annual Adopt-a-Beach Program and the Snowy Plover Rescue Program. We are dedicated to hands-on education and interpretation, coastal resource protection, and equal opportunity to public access of our coastline. As a Cooperating Association for the Department of Parks and Recreation, we publish an educational newsletter, present an annual free Lecture Series open to the public and provide opportunities for volunteers to help in the protection of our precious dunes habitat. |
